Indiana Jonesin this discription i am ignoring all knowledge from the actual movie and going with only what i see.
From the look of this poster, the feel i get from in is a sense of exploring. This is mainly from the the character standing and facing the viewer(which just happens to be Indiana Jones. himself). The characters costume is an explorer hat, with tanned trousers and a brown shirt, with the sleeves rolled up. i think the fact that his sleeves are rolled up Connotes that he is ready to get his hands dirty, from either finding objects or fighting. The whip supports my theory. he is also standing infront of the path of light.
There are warm colours coming from the skull( im guessing the ctystal skull) which are in shades are yellow, gold, orange, red and white. the colour yellow connotes a subliminal message of "get me", which is why you are seeing lots of shades of yellow. you also see shades of gold which suggests that it is extremely valuble.These colours are used to draw the viewer's attention to the object. It is pretty obvious that the plot of the movie is based around this skull, hence the name, "Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull". The Fact that parts of the skull are hidden may drift to the possibility of a secret behind the skull or maybe a plot twist.
The background is greyish and has lots of, what looks like, ancient text, suggesting that maybe the movie takes place in ancient ruins, again suggesting that Indiana Jones is an explorer.
The text "kingdom of the cristal skull is in a digital clock styled text, which suggests that maybe there is a timeframe of which our hero must aquire this item. maybe said temple will collapse if he has not taken it in time.
